1. Converts Plain Commodity Dressings into Antimicrobial Dressings.
   
   By saturating the commodity dressing such as plain gauzes with the Silvacide solution, the dressing is converted into a broad spectrum antimicrobial dressing and functions as an effective biobarrier to microbes.
   
2. Converts Advanced Antimicrobial Dressings into Broader Spectrum Antimicrobial Dressings.
   
   By saturating Advanced Wound Care products such as foam dressings, alginates or absorbent cellulosic with the Silvacide solution, the dressing is converted into a broad spectrum antimicrobial dressing and functions as an effective biobarrier to microbes. The antimicrobial activity of Advanced Wound Care antimicrobial wound dressings such as Aquacel Ag, Acticoat and Silverlon is enhanced.
   
   The key to effective clinical application of Silvacide is to keep the wound dressing moistened or saturated with Silvacide.
   
3. Reduces the Barrier Function of the Biofilms.
   
   Silvacide is able to disrupt the biofilm membrane as well as the bacterial or fungal cell membrane, allowing the antimicrobial action of silver or other topical antibiotics to enter the cell and kill or inhibit the microbe.
